August 14, 2006 - Conroy nominated for "Female Artist of the Year" at CCMA's

The Canadian Country Music Association recently announced the nominees for the 2006 CCMA Awards and Patricia Conroy picked up two prestigious nominations for "Female Artist of the Year" and "Independent Female Artist of the Year".

The nominations testify to Conroy's continued popularity in the Canadian country music market and to the strength of the release of her sole single and video "When" this past year. The nominations also bode well for the release of Conroy's much anticipated new album "Talking to Myself" which is slated for release in late 2006.

Conroy's management and record label also faired well in nominations picking up "Manager of the Year" (Louis O?Reilly), "Record Company Person of the Year" (Louis O?Reilly) and "Independent Record Company of the Year" (306 Records).

The 2006 CCMA Awards will take place Monday, September 11 at Harbour Station in Saint John, NB and will be televised across Canada on September 11 at 8PM (8:30NT) on CBC TV with encore airings on CMT, in the U.S. on Great American Country (GAC) and in Australia on Country Music Channel (CMC).
